I'm really into music. My tastes vary, I'm really open-minded to new music/songs/bands for the most part. Aside from top 40 country and rap, there's few songs I've heard that I just flat out hate. On the flipside, there isn't much I hear that I absolutely love. I try to only put songs on my website that I really love, though sometimes I'll put something up that I just really, really like, or a song that I used to really love but I've just listened to it too many times. I'm definitely into exchanging mixes, so if you want to trade mix tapes (or rather, mix cds), contact me and we'll trade snail mail information.

Mix One
1. Animal Collective: We Tigers (new window)
I love Animal Collective! Sung Tongs is one of my top favorite albums ever, though I really dig pretty much anything they put out.
2. The Dodos: Horny Hippies (new window)
The Dodos kind of remind me of Animal Collective. Rad!
3. Kronos Quartet: Dark Was The Night (new window)
     Stringed instruments are totally boss.
4. Alela Diane: Pirate's Gospel (new window)
Kind of an oldie, but a goodie. I know pirates are kind of old news in the hip kids scene (I don't even know what's cool anymore. Ninjas? Robots? Kittens? I still like all of the above), but this song is still bitchin'.
5. Malvina Reynolds: Little Boxes (new window)
One of the first-ish songs I learned to kind of play on guitar... and I still suck at it.
6. Kate Schutt: Wrecking Ball (new window)
I've always loved the blues. Who doesn't like a good song about a tragic figure?
7. Besh o Drom: Fidóé (new window)
Kind of like watching someone go through a busy day in super high speed (in a good way). I used to think of world music as kind of "eh", but I've been finding some great stuff lately. Thank you, internets!
8. Daniel Johnston: Casper The Friendly Ghost (new window)
I still haven't seen the Devil And Daniel Johnston. Poop.
9. The Doors: People Are Strange (new window)
Yeah yeah... I like The Doors. Whatever.
10. Buddy Holly: Girl On My Mind (new window)
I've been trying to look up guitar tabs for this song, but can't find any! If anyone wants to tab this for me... please do.
11. Ennio Morricone: Il Ritorno Di Ringo (new window)
Deliciously dramatic. I love this guy's voice! For some reason I could really imagine the music video to this song involving puppets in a crusades-type setting.
12. Yoshida Brothers: Kodo (Hishou Version) (new window)
Damn! Yoshida Brothers, kicking some serious ass on the shamisen.
13. Carolina Slim: Ain't It Sad (new window)
The blues are OH SO GOOD.
